What turf do you sell?

We have been selling Rolawn Turf at Glebe Garden Centre Leicester for a long time now. It is by far the best quality turf available to buy for the home today, and the easiest to work for those of you who are laying it yourself.

When is best to lay a lawn?

The 2 best times of year to lay turf are the spring & autumn. This is because the temperature is usually mild, and in this country we get a bit of rain, these are the 2 conditions you need for the roots to take hold. You can lay turf in the summer, but due to the heat you would need to water it constantly, and during the winter, and frost will kill off a newly laid lawn. For this reason we only stock turf during the spring & autumn.

How much turf do I need?

1 Roll of turf covers 1 Square Metre. If you measure your area in metres this will make your calculation much easier, if not convert your feet & inches to metric.

Can I come and buy some today?
