Eazytiger nurtures a new website for Glebe

The leading independent retailer Glebe Garden Centre has opened up its new website which has been designed and created by Eazytiger.

Glebe’s owner Bernard Hanraads said: “The new website perfectly captures our approach to business – which is to provide a welcoming place to discover and enjoy shopping for plants in a calm, hassle-free environment with expert advice on hand.”

Glebe Garden Centre, which is in the South Leicestershire village of Countesthorpe, teamed up with the Syston-based Eazytiger, Leicestershire’s largest and longest established new media agency, after admiring its work for Rutland retailer Cavells and the drum manufacturer Premier Percussion.

Eazytiger has designed and created the site to reflect Glebe’s heritage and tradition of great service and value for money whilst also capitalising on the garden centre’s embrace of modern technology and social media forums such as Twitter.

The look and feel of the site is calm, bright, open and gently animated, with photography not only of plants but also the people who work at Glebe and who make it a special place to shop for plants and garden equipment. The centre’s customers come from as far as Corby, Market Harborough, Lutterworth, Oadby, Leicester and all points between.

Aspects of the business that are highlighted on the new site include the Chives coffee shop, the monthly newsletter and the Glebe loyalty card, which has more than 6,000 active members.

Bernard says the business, now more than 30 years old and employing 20 people, wants the website to encourage people to discover Glebe and engage with the business before visiting in person. “What Eazytiger has come up with is unique in the way it portrays Glebe, compared to other garden centre websites where you get bombarded with photographs and lists. We, and our new site, are more friendly and welcoming in a more gentle way.”

Eazytiger account manager Josh McCarthy said: “It has been a pleasure to work with Bernard and Dave Seville, Glebe’s IT manager, to cultivate their new site. It’s a fantastic Leicestershire business who we are very pleased to have got to know.”

Glebe Garden Centre Leicester were very helpful with all my queries and made helpful suggestions that suited my garden. An extensive range of products on display too and Chives restaurant was a great place to rest our feet and replenish our energy.
